Château des Joncherets is a 17th-century château and private luxury venue for destination weddings, celebrations, exclusive stays, retreats, and art-infused events of all kinds, set among historic André Le Nôtre gardens just one hour from Paris in the French countryside.
A classified historic monument, Château des Joncherets was built in 1620 during the golden age of French art and architecture. Originally designed by the royal squire to King Louis XIII, the château has been a remarkable setting for French elegance for centuries. Its gardens were later transformed by André Le Nôtre, the renowned landscape architect to King Louis XIV, whose signature design continues to define the estate.
Owned by Kate and Paul Mery de Bellegarde, who bring over 15 years of hospitality expertise, their dedication ensures that your stay or event will be a truly memorable experience.

From indoor events in our Orangerie for up to 160 guests, to elegant château salon spaces for intimate dinners, performances, and celebrations, the château also features an open-concept mezzanine concert hall rich in historic character, ideal for performances, photoshoots, and filming.
Outdoors, the 9-acre André Le Nôtre park unfolds with tree-lined paths, moats, a classified sycamore ceremony tree, a half-moon pond, and more, offering space to host up to 300 guests.

"Like a scene out of a dream. We enjoyed the Chateau, the peaceful property, & the quiet. Paul gave us a tour of the property and brief background on the history, which is magnificent. Our evenings ended with enjoying the gardens and its majestic animals (Peacock) throughout. Highly recommend anyone to stay here and fall into a peaceful stay. Kate & Paul are fantastic hosts and made our stay so welcome. We WILL be back in the future!"

"The chateau itself is absolutely beautiful, and the renovation has clearly been done with great care and attention to every little detail. We were fascinated by its long history and especially by its connection to King Louis XIII. The surrounding area is perfect for biking, with charming and cozy villages that made exploring a real pleasure. We stayed for three nights but easily could have stayed much longer."

“This is one of a kind stay in a charming 17th century-built chateau. The location seemed like a movie set; in fact, I later learned that I was! The studio I stayed in is well-appointed: fully-equipped kitchenette, convenient ensuite with heated floor throughout. The room is cozy, with magnificent view of the chateau. The chateau is also located in a convenient location, walkable to restaurants, antique stores, convenience stores.”

"Every moment spent at the chateau was magical. From peacocks to the room, it was all out of a storybook. She made sure each detail was looked into and the place was very well curated.
