Originally designed by King Louis XIII’s royal squire, the château has been a symbol of elegance for centuries. Later, the breathtaking gardens were transformed by King Louis XIV’s royal landscape architect, the renowned André Le Nôtre, adding an enduring grandeur that makes this estate truly unique.

"Like a scene out of a dream. We enjoyed the Chateau, the peaceful property, & the quiet. Paul gave us a tour of the property and brief background on the history, which is magnificent. Our evenings ended with enjoying the gardens and its majestic animals (Peacock) throughout. Highly recommend anyone to stay here and fall into a peaceful stay. Kate & Paul are fantastic hosts and made our stay so welcome. We WILL be back in the future!"

"The chateau itself is absolutely beautiful, and the renovation has clearly been done with great care and attention to every little detail. We were fascinated by its long history and especially by its connection to King Louis XIII. The surrounding area is perfect for biking, with charming and cozy villages that made exploring a real pleasure. We stayed for three nights but easily could have stayed much longer."

“This is one of a kind stay in a charming 17th century-built chateau. The location seemed like a movie set; in fact, I later learned that I was! The studio I stayed in is well-appointed: fully-equipped kitchenette, convenient ensuite with heated floor throughout. The room is cozy, with magnificent view of the chateau. The chateau is also located in a convenient location, walkable to restaurants, antique stores, convenience stores.”
